Code Of Conduct

12.1
All student have to maintain discipline, serious indiscipline on the part of student may result his/her withdrawal or expulsion from the college.

12.2
A student if found indulging in anti-national activities contrary to the provision of act and laws enforced by Govt. will be liable to be expelled from the college without any notice by the principal.

12.3
Any student providing wrong information in the application form, will be expelled from the college, in all such matter the decision of Principal will be final and irrevocable.

12.4
Attendance of the student as per Sant. Gadge Baba Amravati University should not be less than 75% of the classes held both in theory and practical separately in each subject to appear in the final examination. Otherwise he/she may be detained from the exam. To appear in sessional examination % attendance should not be less than 70%

12.5
Head of the institution may verify the antecedents of the candidate through the appropriate police authority.

12.6
Loud talking and congregating in the corridors, laboratories, library and class rooms should be avoided. Students found indulging in these will be punished by the Principal.

12.7
If consistent progress is not observed a candidate may be advised to leave the course and his/her parent/guardian will be informed accordingly.

12.8
Student should bring every thing required while doing practical.

12.9
If student remain absent he/she has to submit an application endorsed by Guardian stating reason for the absence of his ward, in case of absence on medical ground the application must be supported by medical certificate from registered medical practitioner. Student remaining absent and whose leave will not be considered will have to pay absentee fine as implemented by college. Students will have to pay these fine before dates specified on N. B. otherwise late fee will be charged.

12.10
No student will be allowed to appear for final examination unless.

a) He/she paid all the fees and other dues.

b) He/she satisfy the rules of attendance minimum requirement of 75% as per the University.

c) He/she has completed all practical record books and getting certified by concerned teacher.

12.11
Student should carry their identity card all the time.

12.12
Student should regularly read notice notified on the notice board.

12.13
Student should not involved directly or indirectly in any type of raging otherwise will be punished as per the provision of Maharashatra Act XXXIII known as "Maharashatra Prohibition of Ragging Act of 1999" resulting in suspension, expulsion from college and imprisonment.

12.14
Student should not be involved in chewing tobacco or allied matter otherwise will be punished as per the provision in rule.

12.15
No student should be involved in “common off” student involved in common off will be expelled out from college. Decision of principal be final & irrevocable.

13.0 Conduct of examination
13.1
Periodical (Sessional Examination)
13.1.1
There will be 3 periodic sessional examination of 20 marks for theory the average of best of two will be sent to university.

13.1.2
In practical there shall be 20 marks for sessional the distribution of marks will be as under

Day to day assessment in practical work – 10 marks

Sessional practical marks - 10 marks

13.2 UNIVERSITY EXAMINATION
13.2.1
Eighty marks shall be allotted to each of theory & practical examination held by university.

13.2.2
Each theory paper shall consist of Section A & Section B of 40 marks each.

13.2.3
Eighty marks of annual practical examination will be distributed as

Experimental Work – 60 marks

Viva Voice – 20 marks

13.3
A candidate to be eligible to pass the examination must have obtained not less than 45% marks in periodical and University examination for theory and for practical 50% separately.

13.4
Standard of Passing

Distinction - 75% and above in subject / Class

First Class - 60% and above in subject / Class

Pass Class - 45% and above and up to 65% pass

13.7
As a part of curriculum every candidate for degree of B. Pharm. shall be required to work for atleast eight weeks in a Pharmaceutical Industry, in a hospital or in a PCI approved drug store within or outside Maharashtra State at the end of Third / Fourth year of B. Pharm science course.

13.9
Any candidate having % attendance less than 75% in theory and practical will be detained from examination.

14.0 Uniform

For Boys -Sky Blue Shirt and Dark Neavy Blue Pant , Maroon Color Tie

For Girls - Sky Blue Camiz and Salwar.

15.0 Academic Calender
Commencement of Session 19th June
Start of Teaching
After completion of central admission process 1st and 2nd round for B. Pharm year, For B. Pharm II to Final Year date for Commencement of course will be notified every year.
Sessional Examination First sessional - 1st week of October
Second Sessional 2nd week of January
Third Sessional Last week of March
Diwali Vacation In the month of Nov. (30 days)

16.0 Salient Feature
16.1
Book Bank Scheme - College is running book bank scheme for meritorious student and needy students. Meritorius students upto 2nd rank from each class can posses two books with him/her through out the year as per his/her choice but preference will be given as per merit basis. Any student can posses one book with him/her by paying cost of book plus 50% of cost as deposit. Fifty percent amount will be deducted will be deducted from total deposit at the time of return of book.

16.2 Student Teacher Guardian Scheme -

The scheme is operated so that every student will be under the guardianship of a teacher decided by Principal as long as he/she remain on the roll of college. The objective of this scheme are (1) Personal and intimate contact between students and teacher (2) Constant watch on the progress of student and his performance (3) Motivation of the student towards academic achievements (4) Keep the parent informed about the student performance.

16.3 Training and Placement Cell -

It keeps in continuous touch with prospective employers all over all country. It provides information about carrier opportunities and keep track of emerging Industry trend. Campus interview are conducted every year for placement of students.

16.4 ACADEMIC MONITORING (ICIU) -

For review of academic progress like no of hrs. conducted for theory and practical classes, % of syllabus covered, % result, % attendance of student, no. of experiments conducted in practical and other academic matters, a committee is constituted under chairmanship of principal other member will be two senior teacher and one sessional in charge, & two students representative. Committee will meet before every sessional and annual examination. The progress of students will be communicated to parent.

Apart from teaching various programme are conducted like blood donation, tree plantation detection of food adulteration. In future we are planning to organise various activities under N. S. S. through which we will be able to develop importance of cleaning, blood donation, tree plantation, humanity, honesty in the student's mind.

16.6 AWARDS

Every year meritorious students up to 2nd rank are felicitated by awarding medals at the time of annual day celebration as under -

2nd Merit - Silver Medal

Apart from academic merit, students are awarded by attractive prizes for their extraordinary talent extracurricular activities like sport and cultural events. Every year Best student Award is given to student for his/her academic and other excellence

Students Council - Every year students council is consitituted under chairmanship of Principal. Student securing first rank in Annual examination will be nominated as class representative. One representative will be nominated from talented students in field of sport, cultural events, NSS activities. Girl student will be nominated to represent all girls in the institution. One student will be elected from nominated members, who will represent the college into the university

College offers boarding and lodging facility for both boys and girls presently girls hostel is rented on yearly basis near by college having capacity of accommodation of 20 girls , boys hostel constructed adjacent to college having capacity of accommodation of 50 boys

INSURANCE FACILITY

Student and Staff Insurance - Every student and staff members of the college are insured against any minor accident. For detail information should contact to Principal.

Insurance of College Asset – College assets including Infrastructure , Equipment, Instruments,Books , Furniture’s, Computers are Insured against burglaries and fire.

16.13 UNIVERSITY SCHEMES / SCHOLARSHIP: -

Students Welfare Fund Scholarship given by university a per the academic and overall Merit (Sport, Cultural), student insurance scheme is also provided by university.

17.0 ADDITIONAL
17.1
A specified number of seats are reserved for the nominees from state and union territories which lack the facility in pharmacy education, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India determines these seats every year. These seats are over and above the sanctioned intake. For admission in this category the respective state select the candidates for the seats ear marked for the state. Eligible candidate as mention in rule 6.1 should apply to competent authority of the respective state.

17.2
Once seat over & above the intake is offered to the childrens of citizens who are displaced from J&K from 1990 onwards due to terrorists activity, candidate eligible as per above rule (17.0) should apply to principal K.M. Kundnani College of Pharmacy, Dr. R.G. Thadani Marg, Worli Sea face, Mumbai on or before last date prescribed by competent authority.
